Overview
Nobel Explorers is a global technology-education initiative. I joined as a facilitator while still in high school. Over eight months I taught 60+ international students across 3 cohorts, in Ukraine, Taiwan, and Brazil among others, teaching a curriculum covering machine learning, computer vision, and internet fundamentals.
What I did
- Instruction: I led cohorts through the ML/CV curriculum remotely, across time zones and language barriers, for students seeing this material for the first time.
- Program expansion: I helped launch new educational programs internationally, growing the initiative beyond its existing footprint.
Why it stuck
This is the experience my education minor points back to. Teaching 60+ people how computers learn, before I’d taken a single college CS course, is what made Secondary Education feel less like an elective and more like continuing something I’d already started. It’s also why “I build software people actually use, then teach the next person how to build it too” is on the front page of this site.
